Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

  • Develop data visualization and modeling techniques that allow operations and the value chain stakeholders actionable insights and informed decision-making that enhance safety and operational excellence (people, quality, velocity, cost)
  • Support cross-functional team members on manufacturing automation projects by providing expertise in data modeling and analysis while incorporating lean principles in future automation processes
  • Under general supervision, responsible for developing automated workflows, managing file storage, and monitoring user engagement within a centralized SaaS platform solution
  • Work with internal customers to gain an understanding of their business issues/constraints to determine how data modeling, data analysis, or data visualization can be applied to ensure RCCA is applied
  • Prototype, develop, iterate, test, and deploy into production automated reporting solutions
  • Incorporate statistical methods and/or digital methods to solve business problems
  • Support proactive identification of potential lean projects and kaizen events by using data modeling and analysis to unearth patterns and trends related to safety and operational excellence (people, quality, velocity, cost)
  • Collaborate with leadership on developing and maintaining dashboards for key business/process metrics such as: Production to Plan, Labor & Asset Capacity, Asset Utilization, OEE, Manufacturing Lead Time, Set Up Times (machining/test/assembly/paint), and Labor Efficiency
  • Under general supervision, develop innovative digital solutions across operations that enhance the culture through ideal behaviors in lean applications such as: Lean Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, Gemba observations, TPM, 5S, Visual Management, SMED, Heijunka, Kanban, Pull Systems, and idea generation (CI cards)
  • Under general supervision, assist with facilitation of kaizen events/workshops that focus on creating value and reducing waste in manufacturing and business processes through digital automation
  • Mentor the team and utilize change management in the use of digital technology, software tools, and methodologies to ensure solutions create value throughout all levels
  • Acts as change agent to instill Lean culture throughout the organization while also approaching the frontline workers with humility
  • Develop strong relationships built on trust and respect with leaders and employees at all levels and cross functionally

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) with a minimum of three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science background preferred but not required.
  • Foundational lean experience and facilitation of lean workshops/kaizens
  • 3+ years of coding language experience (i.e... Python, Java, R, C#, SQL)
  • 3+ years of Tableau and/or Power BI
  • English

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • 5+ years of project management experience for highly visible solutions used broadly across a business unit
  • 5+ years of experience in design and prototyping dynamic views and visualizations for large and complex data sets in Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Machine learning and AI experience
  • 3+ years using Lean methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills (provide high-level view of detailed projects)
  • Strong experience with data structures using SQL
  • Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP)
  • Formal Lean training i.e., Lean Practitioner, Kaizen Facilitator, LSSGB/LSSBB
